A Prayer for a Different Door

Lord,

You know the thoughts I carry
And the questions I ask when no answers come.

You see the doors I have knocked on,
The hopes I have held,
And the disappointments that return
Wearing different faces.

When my heart searches for love,
Teach me to recognize what is genuine.
When my mind enters turmoil,
Fill it with Your peace.

Help me understand that love should not feel like a burden,
Nor commitment like a struggle.
Show me the difference between waiting faithfully
And waiting unnecessarily.

If I am standing before a door
That was never meant to open,
Give me the courage to walk away.

Lead me to the doors You have prepared,
Where love is returned,
Effort is shared,
And hearts meet with sincerity.

Guide my steps,
Protect my heart,
And help me trust Your timing.
