I just watched the video
of Fletcher's visit
to Coopers Hill.
There is something truly special
about seeing my grand-nephew
thrive in that house.
To watch him run,
to hear his laughter,
to know another generation
is making memories
within those familiar walls,
fills my heart with joy.
Yet joy
can sometimes
walk hand in hand
with longing.
As I watched,
I couldn't help but wish
his great-grandparents
were sitting right there with you,
smiling,
laughing,
enjoying every moment
of his energy,
his innocence,
and the happiness
only a child can bring.

I can almost see them,
their faces glowing with pride,
watching him explore
the home they loved,
treasuring every step
he takes.
Thank you,
both of you,
for taking him there.
You gave him
more than a visit.
You gave him
a connection
to his family's roots.
A place where memories remain,
where love still lingers,
and where the past
quietly embraces
the future.
Watching Fletcher
at Coopers Hill
reminded me
that while time
keeps moving forward,
love never leaves the places
that shaped us.
It simply waits,
patiently,
to be discovered
by the next generation.

Perhaps...
That is the gift of home.
It remembers those who came before us,
welcomes those who are here today,
and quietly prepares a place
for those who will come tomorrow.
